Maui Beach Wedding FAQs
Is there a limit to the number of guests I can have at my beach wedding?
The DLNR (Dept. of Land & Natural Resources) limits the number of guests for a beach wedding to 30. This includes the couple and any vendors such as your photographer and officiant. We are happy to help you find the perfect Maui venue if you are planning for a larger wedding ceremony.
What happens if it rains?
Maui is a sundrenched paradise. We may get showers from time to time, but these do not generally cause for any delay in your wedding ceremony. If it is raining at the beach you have chosen, then we will relocate to another beach if possible. If you have chosen a private venue for your wedding ceremony, most have a rain backup. If it is raining islandwide, we will try to find a covered area near your beach or we will proceed with umbrellas.
What is the process of getting a marriage license?
Please refer to our Maui Marriage License page for this and any marriage license related questions..
How do I confirm my wedding?
We would love to be part of your special day! Once we receive your completed booking form and we’ve confirmed that your wedding date is available, we’ll send you our contract. A 50% deposit of your package price and a signed contract will lock in your wedding date. The balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.
Why can’t I have an arch on the beach?
All Maui beaches are considered public by the DLNR. For this reason, we are not permitted to bring objects on the beach that may interfere with the enjoyment of others on the beach. If you heart is set on that perfect wedding arch, take a look at our Private Venue Wedding Ceremony Packages.
How do I decide on a beach?
Maui offers over 30 miles of beautiful beaches. We typically recommend a south Maui beach or west Maui beach. These are the locations with the best weather and heavily populated with accommodations. We will definitely help you choose the beach that fits your wedding day dreams.
What if the package I choose doesn’t have everything I need?
Our packages are designed to offer you the elements that are essential for a successful wedding. For those pretty little extras, please refer to our Ceremony Enhancements page.
Why can’t we get married on Ka’anapali Beach?
Ka’anapali Beach is the one beach on Maui that does not allow commercial activity other than water related excursions. If you’re staying in Ka’anapali, we will help your find the perfect beach nearby
